Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie is a timeless dessert that brings together the rich, creamy flavors of coconut and custard in a perfectly balanced, satisfying treat.

This classic pie starts with a tender, flaky pie crust that serves as the foundation for the luscious filling. The filling itself is a velvety custard made from a combination of milk, eggs, sugar, and flour,

carefully cooked until thickened to achieve the ideal creamy texture. Shredded sweetened coconut is folded into the custard, adding a delightful chewiness and a burst of tropical flavor to every bite.

 Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of 10% cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • Β 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • Β 1 cup toasted coconut divided
  • Β 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Β 1/4 teaspoon pure almond extract
  • Β 1 deep baked 9 β€œpie shell
  • Β 1/2 cup 35% whipping cream
  • Β 1/4 cup of sugar
  • Β 1/8 teaspoon pure almond essence

 Preparation:

In a saucepan, combine the 10% cream, eggs, sugar, flour and salt.

Cooked until thicken, while stirring. Add the essences and 3/4 cup of toasted coconut, combine very well.

Put in cooked crust & cool. Whip the cream with the 1/4 cup of sugar and pure almond extract.

Spread over the pie and sprinkle with the remaining cocon
