Ingredients:
1 box chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients for preparation)
2 cups fresh strawberries (sliced)
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (melted)
1 1/2 cups vanilla ice cream (softened)
1 1/2 cups chocolate ice cream (softened)
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 cup hot fudge sauce
1 cup whipped cream (for topping)
Instructions:
Preheat oven according to cake mix instructions. Prepare chocolate cake as directed and bake.
While cake cools, mix
sliced strawberries with
powdered sugar. Let sit for 10 minutes to release juices.
Once the cake has cooled, slice it into two layers. Place one layer in the bottom of a springform pan.
Spread a layer of
vanilla ice cream on top of the cake, followed by a layer of
chocolate ice cream. Freeze for 1 hour.
Drizzle the melted
chocolate chips and
strawberry mixture over the ice cream layers.
Place the second layer of cake on top and freeze for 2–3 hours.
Top with whipped cream and extra
strawberries before serving.
